The nationally renowned CRM Studios will begin a multi-year production contract for Beck and his rapidly-expanding GBTV network, including Beck’s daily television and radio shows, starting in early January, 2012.

What do you do when there is no flat and level floor for your camera pedestal or tripod? When there is no acceptable surface for laying dolly track? When the location is too rugged and remote for the standard jib arm or camera crane package? But you really have to have that shot…..the shot that “Wows!” your audience when they see it?
When XTO Energy called on CRM Studios to help them produce their 25th Anniversary video, producer Brannon Preston knew it was time to raise the game. After being presenting multiple concepts, XTO selected “The Ascent” which would feature a mountain climber from the beginning of a major climb all the way to the summit. The only way to get the shots that were going to be needed in such a rugged environment, were to think light and portable with the camera and supporting gear. While discussing the project with CRM editor Shawn Fernandez, the idea of using the Polecam came up and the call was made to Fort Worth operator, Colton Woolford. The rest is on screen!

Our staff of 30+ award-winning editors, animators, directors, producers and sound engineers work within our 8 edit suites, sound design lab, animation and motion effects department, as well as on our separately managed stage.

We have two production/post production facilities within the Las Colinas area, within a few of miles of downtown Dallas and just minutes to DFW International Airport. The Las Colinas facilities include our own stage adjacent to our offices/post production/sound/effects suites at The Studios at Las Colinas. This prestigious stage complex is the largest operational facility of its kind between Florida and California and is home to many major motion pictures such as JFK, Robocop, Born on the 4th of July, as well as the Fox hit TV show, Prison Break. We also have use of the other stages within the complex, including the 100,000 square foot Stage A for large production requirements.

The new on-site control room marks the first time that news feeds, training videos, Webcasts, and corporate messages can be broadcast from inside the facility without the need and expense of an outside, mobile uplink.

In addition to broadcast capabilities, CRM’s control room provides multiple-camera switching from any one of the three studios. And while CRM maintains its own soundstage 24/7, the control room is available as an added service to any stage at Las Colinas. With the company’s adjacent edit suites, graphics studios, and on-staff producers, corporate or broadcast clients can enjoy complete, turnkey services while producers can choose just the services they need.
